Facebook ಬಹಳಾ ಪ್ರಭಾವಶಾಲಿ, ಶಕ್ತಿಶಾಲಿ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ತಾಣ. ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಕೆಲಸಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಳಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಅಪಾಯಕಾರಿ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಳಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಎಂಬ ಆರೋಪ ಹಾಗೂ, ದಿನೇ ದಿನೇ ನಕಲಿ ಖಾತೆಗಳ ಸೃಸ್ಟಿ ಜಾಸ್ತಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಆರೋಪ ಕೇಳಿದ ನಂತರ ಅದನ್ನ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸಲು ಹೊಸದೊಂದು ಕ್ರಮವನ್ನ Facebook ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಅದೇ ಈ "Checkpoint"! ಆದರೆ ಈ ಚೆಕ್ ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್ ನಿಂದಾಗಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಅಸಲಿ ಖಾತೆಗಳನ್ನೂ Facebook ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಇನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಂತಿಲ್ಲ. Facebook ನ Checkpoint ಪುಟದ screenshot ಒಮ್ಮೆ ನೋಡಿ. ನನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನೊಬ್ಬನಿಂದ ಇದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಿತು. ಆತ ಲಾಗಿನ್ ಆದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಈ Checkpoint ಪುಟಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿತಂತೆ. ಈ xxxxxxxx69 ನಂಬರ್ ಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕೋಡನ್ನ ಕಳಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ, ಅದನ್ನ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದು ಹಾಕಿದರೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ನಿನಗೆ ಒಳ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಅಂತಂತೆ! ಆದರೆ ಅದು ಹಳೇ ನಂಬರ್! ಪಾಪ ಅವನು ಇತ್ತೀಚಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ನಂಬರ್ ಬದಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಈಗ Facebook ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹಳೇ ನಂಬರ್ರಿಗೂ ಇವನಿಗೂ ಸಂಭಂದವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಹೊಸ ನಂಬರ್ ಅನ್ನ Facebook ಖಾತೆಗೆ ಅಪ್ಡೇಟ್ ಮಾಡಲು ಮರೆತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ವಿಚಿತ್ರ ಏನಂದ್ರೆ, ಈ Checkpoint ಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬರ್ ಬದಲಿಸಲು ಯಾವುದೇ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯವನ್ನ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲು Facebook ಮರೆತಂತಿದೆ! ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಜನ ಈ "Checkpoint ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಟ್ರಕ್ ಆಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ!
Got this information from a friend of mine. Facebook is asking him to go through a security checkpoint, where it asks him to confirm or verify his account by a code sent to a phone number associated with the account. But he has changed his number couple of months ago and unfortunately, he forgot to update his new number to Facebook. And the issue here is, there is NO provision in this "Checkpoint" to change the number. So hes not able to login. With this insane Checkpoint thing, Facebook is loosing lots of "Original" accounts too!
Same prob here. I think I don't have any options but to create a new account. :( I'ts so sad that they're not working to fix this, or at least give options to change number. I've been not able to open my account for a month now. That account is very important, but there's nothing seems to work to get it back. I loathed Facebook. Tsk.
